[WALKER'S TAKE — 2–3 sentences in his voice: who Wheaton suits, which pockets he'd look at first, what buyers should watch for.]
Living in Wheaton
[OPENING PARAGRAPH IN WALKER’S VOICE — what a weekday and a weekend look like in Wheaton.]
Downtown Wheaton is compact and walkable, with restaurants, shops and the Metra station within a few blocks of each other. Away from downtown, the town is mostly residential, with parks spread throughout and Cantigny Park on the west side.
The homes
[WALKER — describe the housing stock: older homes near downtown and the Northside, newer construction, typical lot sizes, condos and townhomes.]
Getting around
Wheaton has two stops on the Metra Union Pacific West line: Wheaton (downtown) and College Avenue. Trains run to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago. Roosevelt Road and Butterfield Road are the main east–west routes by car. Inbound weekday trains take about 59 minutes from the Wheaton station to Ogilvie, and the fastest express makes it in 43; from College Avenue it’s 40 to 56 minutes. (Metra weekday schedule, October 2026.)
Schools
Most of Wheaton is served by Community Unit School District 200, which includes Wheaton North and Wheaton Warrenville South high schools. Boundaries vary by address, so Walker confirms the assigned schools for any home before you write an offer.
